THE NURSING UNIFORM OF V.A.D. GRAVE PULVERTAFT. A pale blue cotton nurses dress with Harrods London label, a pair of white cuffs and two head scarfs, one with a red cross, the other with a name tag for Grace Pulvertaft. With a copy of the 2014 book by John Brunsdon 'Reminiscences of a V.A.D. the diary of Grace Pulvertaft' a volume which tells of Grace's work as a young twenty year old member of the Voluntary Aid Detachment. Working in Croydon General, Eastern General Brighton and 1st London General Camberwell with reminiscences of those she nursed, those she worked with and the life of an inexperienced girl who learnt as she worked to care for the casualties of the Great War. Also with a copy of 'Remembering 1916' the catalogue of an exhibition at the Witgift Exhibition Centre South Croydon in which Grace's diary was included. With a pair of shoulder boards with badges 'Red Cross London 186'.
