A FIRST WORLD COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUE TO AN OFFICER.
A commemorative plaque named for Ernest Frederic Chettle who died on the 5th April 1918 aged 32 years old. He served as a Second Lieutenant with the 7th Battalion (Territorial) Middlesex Regiment, his parents were Frederick William and Ellen Chettle of 7 Balfour Road, Dover. He previously served with the Buckinghamshire Hussars. He is buried at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery in France, his headstone reads 'Faithful Unto Death'
