AN ELIOTT'S LIGHT DRAGOON CARBINE.
A Carbine with a 71.5cm tapering barrel, the flintlock action marked with a crown above 'GR' and 'TOWER' also 'R&RS' for R&R Sutherland the lock maker, the ramrod with grooved retention by the nose cap, with ring suspension to the other side, with brass trigger guard, 110cm overall. This type of Carbine remained the standard issue until replaced after the Peace of Amiens in 1802-3 by the 'Paget' Carbine,
