AN EAST INDIA COMPANY COMMISSION DOCUMENT DATED 1852. A commission document signed by Sir William Maynard Gomm appointing William Keily, Gentleman, to the rank of Lieutenant in the Queen's Army in the East Indies on the 31st of May 1852, signed at Simla in Bengal. Signed M. Gomm in ink lower left. with an attached wax seal, 24cm x 40.5cm. The Honourable Sir William Maynard Gomm was commander in chief of all the Queen's Company's Forces in the East Indies between December 1851 and January 1856.
