of tapering cylindrical form with a tucked-in base, spreading circular foot and a fluted, curved spout, decorated around the upper and lower body with rocaille flat-chasing, the chased cover with a bud finial, by Isobel Pero*, London 1742; 8.9" (22.8cm) high; 23.7 oz
* Isobel Pero, presumably widow of John Pero (died 1741), Huguenot, apprenticed to Thomas Farren and signatory as journeyman to the petition against assaying the work of foreigners not having served seven years apprenticeship, in February 1716.
