A MID-19TH CENTURY WHEELBACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR,
on turned supports with H-stretcher, stamped 'G.Parman' to the back seat rail, height 115cm
*presumably for George Parman recorded as a furniture maker and broker in the Thames Valley region from 1800-1840, and then in London from 1840-1871. Two chairs similarly stamped are in the Cotton Collection, Museum of the Home, London, and another is recorded and illustrated in Boram, Regional Furniture (1995), p.37 (source, British and Irish Furniture Makers Online)
