AN EDWARDIAN DIAMOND TIARA, CONVERTING TO A NECKLACE
the scrolling centre section is millegrain set with graduated circular old brilliant-cut diamonds, centred with a pear-shaped mount set with a circular old brilliant-cut diamond and three smaller diamonds, each side with conforming oval openwork mounts each of which is set with two old brilliant-cut diamonds and further smaller diamonds and divided by a link of an old brilliant-cut diamond with three smaller diamonds to each side, the centre section detaches to be worn as a brooch, 6cm. wide, and it all detaches from the tiara frame to be worn as a necklace, 38cm. long.
In red leather case by Cartier, with inner compartment containing clasp for the necklace, brooch fitting and a small screw driver to detach the tiara from the frame.
