A FLINTLOCK COAT PISTOL BY UTTING.
A flintlock pocket or caot pistol marked Utting on the action. Turn-off 2.5/8" barrel, centre hammer with concealed trigger and sliding safety catch. Plain butt with escutcheon plate in shield form, 7.1/2" overall length.
Utting would appear to nave been working in Birmingham between 1800-1820, making Flintlock pistols including double barrelled models.
