‡A GROUP OF CONTINENTAL ETCHINGS comprising nine subjects on a single sheet by Paul Ferdinand Gachet, signed and dedicated, 22 x 26.5cm.; and four further unsigned etchings, including `Portrait de Signac` by Victor Joseph Roux Champion, 18.5 x 12.5cm.; `Moulin de Bray` by Eugene Delatre, possibly a trial proof, 18.5 x 14cm.; `La Rue de la Glaciere` by Maurice de Vlaminck, 32.5 x 25cm.; and `L'Harpiste` by Paul Renouard, 40.5 x 28.5cm., all but the de Vlaminck unframed (5) * Gachet was a physician who practised alternative medicine. An art lover who mixed in the artistic circles of Paris and Auvers-sur-Oise, he became Vincent Van Gogh's doctor for the last two months of the artist's life (May-July 1890)
