with a double-sided, parcelgilt board, square with a plain border (to prevent the pieces sliding off) and a suspensory ring, engraved on one side for chequers and on the other for nine men's morris, with thirty three small gaming pieces, maker's mark only "CVK", probably for Cornelis van Kleef, Hoorn 1790-1800, contained in a fitted leather travelling case with a compartment for the pieces and a recess for the board, with trade label of "Thomas, 153 New Bond St"; the board 2.55" (6.5 cms) square; 1.25 oz
