A GOLD SIGNET RING
set with a foiled glass intaglio, engraved with the coat of arms believed to be of Mary Stewart and initials M R; 2 cms wide, together with a Victorian printed box with label "Queen Mary's Signet Ring, from the collection of the late Earl of Buchan"
*There was a Mary Stewart, Countess of Buchan (1434/35). Queen Mary I used similar arms 1554-1558. The arms on the ring could be a Victorian creation.
