A WILTSHIRE REGIMENT NEEDLEWORK PANEL. The panel with a central Wiltshire Regiment crest beneath flags of France, Belgium and Great Britain above 'India 1916' within a wreath flanked by ribbon-tied flowers, all within a foliate border. With an attached note 'Worked by William Frederick Street of Hants in Afghanistan during the First World War when he was sent as a motor bike dispatch rider in the North West Frontier, having many hours to fill whilst waiting for dispatches to be taken to different forts etc. he started needleworking'. 29 inches square. With an album of photographs including images of members of the Wiltshire regiment amongst which a soldier with motorcycle, a pocket compass, military issue, 1915 and two shooting medals, one named to W.F.Street.
