A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY TRIO TO A MEMBER OF THE LEICESTER REGIMENT. A Great War group of three comprising, 1914-15 Star, War Medal and Victory Medal named to 11724 Private C.W. Cook, Leicester Regiment. Together with accompanying miniatures mounted for wear, a gents Omega wrist watch and a further Victory Medal named to 18408 Private C.A. Donnell A.S.C. Charles Cook is recorded as serving between 3/9/14 and 30/7/17 with the 8th (Service Battalion) Leicester Regiment. Recorded as suffering wounds to his back and right leg on 15th July 1916 he is no longer physically fit for service by 30th July 17. A resident of Thurmaston near Leicester he is recorded as a Primitive Methodist.
