ATTRIBUTED TO MARC BAETS (Fl.18th Century) A RURAL SCENE WITH FIGURES AND FISHERMEN NEAR HOUSES Oil on canvas 42 x 52cm. Provenance: From the collection of Sir Lawrence Dundas, 1st Baronet (c.1710-1781) of Aske Hall, Richmond, N. Yorkshire. This picture is described in the catalogue of pictures at Aske, compiled in 1895, as a work by Theobald Michau (1676-1765). It was listed as number 50 and that number still appears on the frame. It has passed by descent to the vendor.
