circular with reeded borders and a pull-off cover engraved with two crests*, and inscribed "Presented by LORD MOIRA Governor General of India In Testimony of the Honourable and Courageous Conduct of his duties at the Battle of Mehidpur on 21st December 1817. That he General Sir Thomas Hislop did defeat the Pindaris at the said Battle Presented this year of our Lord 1818", the sides with an engraved decorative frieze, by John Douglas, London 1817; 3.75" (9.5 cms) diameter; 8.8 oz
*The crests are those of Hislop of Tothill, Devonshire, for Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Hislop, Bt., so created in 1813.
