Daimler 1886 - 1939.
Six albums, to include images for early pre-Mercedes and Cannstatt motorcars, this early album being later promotional photographs, some copies, many with typed captions verso. Also, Coventry-built Daimlers from 1896, particularly various original views of the Critchley motorcar, later promotional postcards, many with stamps and cancellation dates, a number of copy photographs of popular images, 1000-mile trial, crowd and street scenes. Later albums possessing a wealth of postcards, half and full-plate images, many with interesting coachwork, street scenes, garages, chassis and engines, domestic settings. The albums dated post-1914 with an assortment of coach-builders' promotional photographs, to include examples for Vanden Plas, Weymann, Morris Garages, Arthur Mulliner, Maddox, Rippon, William Arnold, Abbott, and others. The 1930s album showing a variety of models and coach-built vehicles. All in good or better condition, some copy photographs and photocopy information. (6)
