A MOUNTED COLDSTREAM GUARDS MEMORIAL PLAQUE. A Great War Memorial Plaque (Widows Penny) named to Albert Henry Comper. 22024 Pte A H Comper served in the 3rd Battalion Coldstream Guards, Killed in Action 13/4/1918 in France & Flanders. A native of Sussex, commemorated on the County Memorial. Details are sparse about Pte Comper in his MIC card etc, though a Henry Comper and his wife lived in Washington , Sussex C1881. (Grandparents?) The family appear to have resided in the area, for many years.
