A 20 BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING PISTOL BY JOHN BASS.
With a 25.5cm octagonal barrel with leaf engraved edge, engraved to the top 'Bass London', with flintlock firing action, the side further engraved 'Bass', with a decorative trigger guard with urn shaped terminal, ram rod below the barrel, 39cm overall.
John Bass worked with his father-in-law John Twigg and traded as Twigg and Bass from 1788 - 1791, and then on his own until his death in 1794.
