TWO FIRST WORLD WAR MEDALS TO AN OFFICER WITH THE WEST YORKS AND MACHINE GUN CORPS.
A 1914-15 Star named to 1176 Cpl F.L.Vickerman W. York R. and a Victory Medal named to 2nd Lieut F.L. Vickerman. Frank Leslie Vickerman from Huddersfield serving with the 1/6th Battalion suffered a burn to his right knee in June 1915, and as part of the 49th Division when a Sergeant he suffered a bullet wound to his upper extremities on the 16th July 1916 and was consequently entitled to a wound stripe. He later served with the Machine Gun Corps as a Serjeant (number 107213) and later with a temporary commission as a Second Lieutenant with seniority from the 26th of January 1918.
