4 interesting gold medals relating to Motorcycling, including a 9ct gold London-Edinburgh 1927 Sidecar medal to F H Brackpool (in gold mount), Motor Cycling Club London-Lands End Sidecar 1926 medal to F H Brackpool, a British Motor Cycling Racing Club Brooklands 1930 medal to F H Brackpool, and Motor Cycling Club High Speed Reliability Trial, Brooklands, Oct 16th 1926, Sidecar, F H Brackpool. Also with an 18ct gold chain, and in a vintage leather watch box.
*Frederick Brackpool served as a Royal Engineer during the WWI, after the war he started a motorcycling engineers and retailers firm in Forest Hill which became one of the largest firms of it's type, dealing in motorcycling and sidecars of the period. Around 1925 he took an interest in racing, specialising in sidecar events and quickly became one of the most prominent riders of the time.
