Liversidge, Douglas. A small archive of material documenting travels in the Arctic and Antarctic, c.1950-1960, comprising: several hundred photographs recording 'Operation Corkscrew', a rescue voyage for the polar ship John Biscoe, and the industry of commercial whaling, various sizes, many with negatives; the tip of a whaling harpoon, 38cm length, a pair of yellow leather 'arctic gloves'; a fleece overcoat of (?)seal skin, the hood lined with fur (a quantity) Included with this lot are two books by the author, The Whale Killers (1964) and White Horizon (1951).
